Lois Schmitt served for more than two decades as the education director and media spokesperson for the Nassau County Office of Consumer Affairs. She currently teaches economics at Nassau Community College. She is the author of the "Kristy Farrell Mystery Series." The first book in this series, Monkey Business, was published in 2017. The second book, Something Fishy, is scheduled for release in July 2019.
